Business Travel is Changing – Are you prepared?

Well, the UK Short Term Accommodation Association (STAA) has followed up its successful nationwide NHS Homes initiative with the launch of a new scheme to offer a single trusted platform where business travellers can book accredited, safe and legal accommodation.

The STAA, the short-term rentals industry representative body, launched the TrustedStays back in November and it originally provided free accommodation for NHS staff during the first wave of the pandemic through a programme called Homes for NHS. In total we donated over £20m of free nights to key workers!

Now we provide a solution for any government bodies and corporate travellers who need accommodation around the UK. The website provides a single, trusted website where staff and employers can book safe, clean and legal self-catering accommodation for staff looking to relocate or employees who need a place to stay whilst travelling for work.

Many business travellers currently use hotels as their choice of accommodation but with the current pandemic it is more important than ever to feel safe and clean whilst on your travels, which is why all our homes follow our quality cleaning services. Whilst hotels may seem like the simpler option, you don’t have the same benefits as you do from a home. After a long day at work, you can come back to a home from home and have the ability to sit comfortably on a sofa and watch some TV or whip up your own meal in one of the well-equipped kitchens.

It’s a more sustainable mid-term solution for you and your employees when travelling for work and it also can be better for your well-being as it gives you a sanctuary to escape to. Many of our homes also come with outdoor space, so you have some extra space to get fresh air, which isn’t always available in a hotel.

TrustedStays homes are safe, clean, accredited and legal to ensure that you have nothing to worry about during your stay. All TrustedStays member companies follow the single set of industry cleaning and safety protocols introduced in June. It is only open to STAA members who have accreditation from Quality in Tourism’s Safe, Clean and Legal scheme so you can be sure that all homes have been checked and made to the best standards.

We have already got hundreds of apartments and homes around the UK and have many partners on-board to accommodate those areas that are further out. We have also set up a process up to enable invoicing as payment and to be able to match with existing financial processes to make life just that much easier for you.
